COVID
Our COVID-19 plans
When Covid-19 started in 2019, nobody could have guessed its impacts on the whole world, but the disease has come to surprise everyone by becoming the first pandemic with such widespread cases all over the world. Every country in the world was affected. Many are still battling with it up till now; Australia is one of the few countries where the spread has been brought under control, thereby allowing the economy to resume gradually. Still, there is enough reason to be very cautious, and nothing says this more than the statistics on the virus in New South Wales.
Like all Australian businesses, Easy Street Retreat was also significantly affected, but we are back in operations again. To minimise the risks of the virus spreading, we have put up regulations in line with that of the government. It has become necessary to be more careful and health-conscious not only for our own sake but also for the sake of public health. At Easy Street Retreat, we care about our staff and customers’ safety, and that is why we have put a Covid-19 plan in place to handle all the challenges we might face and ensure the smooth operations and safety of our customers. Here are some of the plans put in place;
Hygiene Procedures
One of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus and minimise the risk is strict adherence to hygiene procedures. That is why we have trained all our team members in the correct hygiene procedures, and everyone is expected to abide by simple rules such as handwashing, using face masks, using hand sanitisers, etc.
To further make adherence to our hygiene procedures more convenient for both staff and customers, we have provided facilities such as sinks, sanitisers dispensers, etc., around our premises and customers can easily access all these facilities.
Sick staff cannot return to work without medical clearance
A sick staff that shows any of the symptoms similar to or associated with COVID-19 is excused from work till they have been declared fit to resume work by a medical practitioner who will also certify them to be COVID-free. By doing this, we are able to minimise the risk of a sick staff spreading the virus among other staff members and customers.
Background Checks on Customers
Customers visiting the Retreat have to comply with all the regulations in place, and we also make sure they have not left the country or been in contact with someone who tested positive for covid-19 within the last 14 days.
Keeping Database of Customers
In line with the government directives, information on visitors to the Retreat is kept for a specific period of time and can be used for contact tracing if necessary.
Social Distancing
We follow the government directives on social distancing and ensure crowds are kept to the maximum number of people allowed.
